Hello and welcome to my portfolio. My name is Alejandro Aguilar and I am a Interactive Media Designer based in Seattle. I enjoy leading the eye with 2D & 3D motion graphics, used with particle effects from Adobe Suite. I also use 3D software. My work is applicable to videos or interactive web pages. I have a passion for creating graphics that induce a visual escape.  I enjoy coding with HTML, CSS, utilizing Javascript for interactive design, and learning Vanilla.js.

Short Bio:
After my honorable discharge from the Army I learned more about technology, and discovered HTML. Like my earlier experience with different mediums I found the same fascination with programming and Adobe software. I created multiple web pages building my coding skills. I attended Delgado Community College studying Visual Communications. Unfortunately, my time at Delgado was cut short due to Hurricane Katrina. The college was flooded and would not re-open soon enough for me to complete my degree. I was activated in the National Guard before, during and after the hurricane to support my city during this crisis.
I would not continue my education until I returned to Washington state where I would later earn two Associates degree’s. My most recent degree is for Interactive Media Design. Before continuing my education I worked in telecommunications acquiring knowledge in low voltage and multiple media technologies. Furthermore, I obtained certifications in A+, N+ then began my work contracting for Microsoft as a lab Engineer. My experience in information technology provided me with insight into computer software and hardware. While working in the tech field, my colleagues introduced me to motion graphic software. These experiences motivated me to complete my education at Everett Community College allowing me to accelerate my abilities and make them applicable to future client projects.
With my background in IT and graphic design I can now implement my work in a world where design and technology work hand in hand.
